Vinyl and PVC Fences in Hampton, VA
Low-maintenance vinyl privacy, semi-privacy and picket fencing across Hampton | Installed by a licensed Class A contractor, with the warranty terms stated up front
Vinyl is the one material we install without putting our own guarantee on it. Saying so up front is the reason we are particular about which vinyl goes in.
The Material We Will Not Guarantee
Any manufacturer's warranty that applies to the product is provided through the supplier and is the supplier's warranty, not ours.
We put that at the top of the page, where it belongs, because it changes what you should be asking us. On a wood fence, the question that matters is how we build it, since the building is what we stand behind. On vinyl, it is which product we are putting in, because the product is the part neither of us can fix with better carpentry.
So the specification does more work here than anywhere else we go. Wall thickness in the posts and rails, reinforcement where a privacy panel meets its post, and a properly engineered gate kit are the factors that most affect how a vinyl fence holds up over time. Thin extrusions and hollow rails are what gave vinyl its reputation, and they are what make a fence look tired inside a few years on an open lot.
Where we do not think a specification will hold on the lot in front of us, we will tell you so and why. Gates are the one exception to the position above: a gate we hang carries a one-year operational guarantee, as it does on any material.
We do not name a brand anywhere on this page. The right answer changes with exposure, height, and how much wind a run gets, and a label does not tell you any of that.
One Reason to Settle Your District Early
Vinyl is almost always a special order, which makes it the material for which a late question is the hardest to answer. Hampton's BB districts publish a short list of permitted fence materials, and vinyl is not on it. Whether that settles anything at your address is not something we can rule on. What we will do is put the question in front of you in the estimate, while the order is still a conversation rather than a delivery.

Where Vinyl Does Well in Hampton
How a Vinyl Job Runs Here
District check first, since vinyl is a special order and the material question wants answering before anything is ordered.
Measure on site, with particular attention to exposure, because that drives post spacing and whether panels need reinforcement.
Written estimate naming the specification as well as the style, with the warranty position set down.
The city requires a zoning permit with your survey or plat. You file it; we prepare what goes on it.
Material ordered, which typically adds a few days on top of the usual scheduling.
Virginia 811, posts two feet deep in concrete, and cure time before panels go on.
What You Are Hiring Us For on a Vinyl Job
We tell you the warranty position before you order.
We raise the district question first, because vinyl is usually a special order.
We build for fill. On a recently graded lot, a rigid post-and-rail system needs the depth and the cure time that fill demands.
Posts two feet deep in concrete and gates screwed rather than nailed.
